Absolutely. HASY Stairlifts require a minimum staircase width of only 70cm. When folded up, the seat, arms, and footrest protrude only about 30cm from the wall, leaving over 50–60cm of wide, unobstructed walking space for everyone else in the house.
No entrapment risk. The stairlift is powered by heavy-duty internal 24V DC backup batteries that recharge automatically. In a blackout, the lift continues safely to its destination and keeps working normally on battery power.
No damage. Support brackets are secured with small expansion anchors directly into the stair treads (never the walls). If removed in the future, the small anchor holes can be filled invisibly without cracking or weakening the stone or hardwood.
Extremely easily. The oversized toggle joystick requires gentle pressure in the intended direction; releasing it smoothly brings the lift to a gentle stop. Two wireless remote call stations are also provided so caregivers can operate the lift remotely.
A stairlift is a chair mounted on a rail that runs along the staircase. The user sits down, fastens the seat belt and moves a control lever to ride up or down between floors. The rail is fixed directly to the stair treads, so there is no need to cut floors or build a lift shaft as with a home elevator.
HASY stairlifts are designed and manufactured at the HASY Industries workshop in Vietnam. Each rail is cut and bent to fit the customer’s own staircase, then installed, handed over and serviced by the HASY technical team.
